With this massive amount of traffic driven to find local businesses, are you on any of the local listings? If a potential client searches for your market will they find you in Google, Yahoo, MerchantCircle and etc. There are dozens of local search engines that people are using to find businesses, but they will only find you if you are properly optimized to rank in the local search.
Lately, mobile devices have swarmed the marketplace. Iphones, Blackberry’s and other handheld devices are being used to find the next pizza, plumber or anything the user needs. Mobile GPS allows users to track to the nearest business location that they are searching. This gives coupons and daily specials a whole new twist in marketing.
The traditional business has relied on the Phone Book and Yellow Pages to find quality clients, but Google, Yahoo, AOL and MSN have become the new method of choice to search, analyze, and purchase.
In todays high tech market, their are multiple ways for local brick-and-mortar businesses to market their company to the online community. Everything from Pay-Per-Click Advertising, Local Search Engine Directories, Videos, Social Media and “Organic” Search Engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN.
The most important step that you can take to create an online presence is in the creation of a website or blog. This allows for the creation of quality content for the specific market that you are advertising. The more quantity and quality content that you can have, the greater possibility that your next client will be able to find you. In creation of your website will it be mobile friendly? WordPress website (such as ours) have plugins that will enable somebody to view relevant content on their mobile device.
The next step is to have your business listed in all of the local directories and get on their map. This process is not as easy as it seems. Their are specific requirements and optimization techniques that will enable you to be at the top of the business in your local market.
After these steps are completed, the sky is the limit. Social Media sites, videos, articles, and press releases can then be used so that you can truly dominate your local market.
